Our “Stock the Cupboards – Abastecer los Armarios” campaign is coming to an end midnight Sunday. So this weekend is your last chance to donate to our effort to help feed the undocumented families of San Mateo. Thanks to the generous support from numerous individual donors, we’re within grasping distance of our goal. Let’s have one last final push to propel the campaign across the finish line!

Lower the affordability levels


If the Peninsula Health Care District proceeds with its current plans for the redevelopment of the old Peninsula Hospital site, the community will have lost out on a unique opportunity to extract as much affordability as we might have. Of the 475 senior homes planned, 184 — approximately 39% — are to be designated as “affordable.” However, these affordable units are becoming less and less affordable by the day.
