Action Opportunity: Urge the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors to Adopt a Rent Freeze & Evictions Moratorium

As many of you may know, there have been various attempts to get emergency renters’ protections put in place in the light of COVID-19. The situation has continued to evolve, and at times the facts on the ground have been less than clear. So let us first tell you what we know, and then let us inform you of what you can urgently do to help.

A Helpful Notice to All Renters

We would like to let all renters know that, in response to the tremendous impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, rental assistance has been made available for the months of March & April by the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County. You can apply for that assistance by calling and leaving a message at (650) 517 – 8939.

Likewise, you can reach out to your local Core Agencies for rental and other assistance at the following link:

We wish you all the best during these trying times.
